Dewatering
Expert Drilling Services for
Dewatering Applications
When managing groundwater on construction or infrastructure sites, dewatering is often essential to ensure safe excavation, structural stability, and dry working conditions. At LoneStar Drilling, we offer specialized drilling services to support dewatering systems, including wellpoint installation and deep wells, tailored to the ground conditions and project scale.
Dewatering begins with a thorough assessment of subsurface water levels, soil composition, and hydrogeology. Our team selects the right drilling method to install wells or casings that enable controlled groundwater removal. In granular soils like sand and gravel, our dual rotary drilling rigs can maintain borehole stability while efficiently advancing casing to depth, ensuring a clean and secure well installation.
For sites with high water tables or soft, saturated soils, dewatering wells are drilled to lower groundwater levels temporarily. These wells can be outfitted with submersible pumps or vacuum systems to actively draw water away from excavation zones.
Beyond installation, proper alignment, filtration, and sealing are critical. Improperly constructed dewatering wells can lead to cross-contamination of aquifers or system failure. That’s why we drill with attention to detail—ensuring the well is properly screened, the gravel pack is correctly sized, and the annulus is sealed to isolate water-bearing zones.
Whether supporting foundation work, tunneling, or environmental remediation, our team provides reliable boreholes that perform under pressure.
