Vibro Hammer

Efficient, Quiet, and Precise

Pile Driving

At LoneStar Drilling, we use advanced vibro hammer technology to efficiently install and extract piles in a wide range of foundation applications. A vibro hammer—also known as a vibratory hammer—is a powerful piece of equipment that uses high-frequency vibrations to reduce soil resistance, allowing piles to be driven into or removed from the ground with greater speed and precision than traditional impact methods.

This modern approach to pile driving is especially useful for projects involving steel casing, sheet piles, tube piles, and I-beams. By loosening the surrounding soil through vibration, the vibro hammer minimizes friction and allows for smooth, controlled pile installation—even in challenging ground conditions like sand, gravel, or glacial till.

Ideal for both urban and remote locations, vibro hammer systems are frequently used in the construction of bridges, harbours, marine infrastructure, solar farms, wind turbine foundations, cofferdams, and retaining walls. They’re particularly valuable in noise-sensitive areas such as residential neighbourhoods or heritage sites, thanks to their low-impact, quiet operation.

At LoneStar Drilling, we often pair our vibro hammer equipment with a crane, 250B caldweld.

Compared to traditional pile drivers that rely on heavy striking weights, the vibro hammer offers numerous advantages: it’s faster, quieter, more compact, and more environmentally responsible. The equipment is also easy to transport, making it ideal for projects with limited access or strict environmental regulations. In certain models, vibration levels can be finely tuned to prevent damage to nearby structures, a crucial feature when working in historical districts or close to homes and businesses.
